Community Accessibility
By focusing on the specific needs of small businesses, organizations, and the individuals that make up our underserved communities, we've learned to serve our population through targeted programming, designed to break generational poverty. We are all in this together, and no other organization understands that more than the Udonis Haslem Foundation. Currently the foundation is actively fostering access to greater opportunities while highlighting the ever growing population of entrepreneurs who are looking to broaden the reach of their business for the betterment of the community.
More about this cause
Our commitment to enliven our community is driven by our passion to support Small Business. By championing these enterprises the Udonis Haslem Foundation seeks to ensure our communities are well positioned to flourish in a rapidly changing financial environment. Whether through our Small Business Grant Initiatives or by providing access to resources, Community accessibility stands as an integral pillar in for the Udonis Haslem Foundation.
The Minority Small Business Grant Initiative
Because small businesses owned by people of color have experienced excessive hardships, especially since the pandemic, In 2022 the Udonis Haslem Foundation announced its first ever Minority Small Business Grant Initiative. After months of careful consideration we were proud to award two local small businesses $50,000. By leveraging our partnership with the Alan B. Levan Center the winning candidates were also provided direct access to mentors and resources.
