The 16th annual B-Wootie Holiday Program was back and better than ever! On Friday, December 20th, 100 students from Miami’s underserved communities enjoyed a special day of holiday cheer with a shopping spree at Walmart Shopping Center, located at 5851 NW 177th Street, Hialeah, FL, followed by fun and games at Christmas Wonderland. Each student received a $200 gift card to purchase whatever their hearts desired—whether it be skincare, toys, clothes, or food.
This meaningful tradition continues in honor of Barbara Wooten, the late co-founder of the Foundation and Udonis Haslem’s stepmother. Her legacy lives on through this annual program, now known as The B-Wootie Holiday Program. This year’s program was made even brighter with the generous sponsorship of Chick-fil-A Hialeah, who provided lunch, and Toys for Tots Miami, which gifted each student additional toys to take home.
