On August 20th and 21st, The Udonis Haslem Foundation partnered up with the Celebrity Sports Academy to sponsor 25 children to attend. Udonis hosted his camp at his alma mater, Miami High, with over 200 children. Under the banners of many state championships, it was easy for Udonis to revisit the lessons taught while playing for the Stingarees; such as, paying it forward, staying humble and holding your peers accountable.
The camp featured appearances from Bam Adebayo, Omer Yurtseven and former Miami High teammates. Udonis spoke to the children that attended about his story and shared words of encouragement around overcoming adversity.
The energy at Udonis’ first camp with CSA was electric! Coaches and campers buzzed around the arena as laughs and dribbles echoed throughout Miami High’s infamous indoor gym, The Asylum. Celebrity Sports Academy partnered with CEEK VR to bring the camp to users all over the world in the metaverse.
Needless to say, this initiative was a success!
